I notices dark spots starting to form on my hens face a few weeks ago. I’ve been out of town and now it’s worse. I have 5 hens and none of the others have this. Anyone know what this is?

Thank you for your response!! I followed the link and it does look like pox. Now one of my Easter Eggers is showing them as well. I’m going to follow the advice in the link. It also said I can vaccinate against it. Can the ones not showing symptoms be vaccinated? And is there a place to buy the vaccine or does it have to go through a vet? I raised parrots years ago and am familiar with giving birds shots into their breast muscle. Thank you!!It looks to be from pecking, but a couple could be fowl pox scabs from mosquitoes. Have you seen pox on any others, and are there mosquitoes out right now? Has she been picked on or pecked by others. Here is an article about fowl pox, but I doubt that pox is the cause.
