What Is This?!

I went to change water and refill food this afternoon and saw one of my hens with something yellow and green hanging out of her vent. I immediately put her in warm water and cleaned up the area. It looks like yolk(s). I had to take it apart to get it off of her. The pink area is going back inside of her but I have no clue what it was, what caused it to happen, or if she's in any danger heath wise. She's acting perfectly normal and roaming the yard. Will check on her again this evening to see how the area looks.

That is what is called 'lash egg'....most often indicating a reproductive system infection.
