This is my 4th batch of incubated eggs. I candle on day 5 and 7 because I like to get an idea of which eggs to watch closely depending on how much they have developed by day 5 (spot or veins or not, air cell, etc.) and how much the develope from day 5-7.
Well as I was doing my day 5 check, I saw one of my buff Orpington eggs had a strange floating thing in it.
I don't know how to describe it so I included a pic. It looks like the yolk is segmented or in clumps?
I haven't encountered this before. It floats very freely, keeping itself at the top of the egg when I rotate it. It could be totally normal and I've just not seen it before, but it was definitely different from all the other eggs.
Is it a ruptured air cell?
Have y'all seen this before?
