I was given a cuckoo Polish Rooster, fully grown. I noticed his head looked rather sore so I gave him a bath and scrubbed it. It didn't seem to be hurting. Just wondering if maybe he was getting picked on by the last flock.

When this happened to mine a few times a year, I just sprayed blukote on them, and it stopped. If you do nothing it may be completely bare and bleeding in another day or two. Mine didn’t do it constantly, just once in awhile. Blukote is found at most feed stores, and stains clothes and fingers, so watch out. Gentian violet, found in pharmacies is the active blue agent in BluKote.

Thanks.
I will see he is well cared for. His old flock was hurting him. Now he has a new bunch of girls who love him.
