This is supposed to be a Columbian Wyandotte. It clearly us not. She weighs 10 lbs! She is 4 nonths old at the most. She is the nicest out of all 20 chickens. I hope she's not a fryer or a roo!

It's a Cornish cross cockerel. Cornish cross are meat bird hybrids that grow incredibly fast and are ready to be butchered by 8 weeks. In fact, if you wait very long beyond that, they will begin to develop all kinds of serious health problems due to their abnormal growth rate.

It's not a jersey giant? I can't kill it. I don't raise my chickens for meat. It's so sweet! :-(

LOL! I misread your post and thought the bird was 4 weeks old. It does look like a White Jersey Giant. There is a huge difference between 4 weeks and 4 months. At 4 weeks, it would have been huge even for a Cornish cross.) It is a cockerel though.

I think my eyes are tired today. Looking at your bird more closely, it's not a Jersey Giant either as Jersey Giants have black legs and you bird has yellow legs. I'm thinking your bird is either a very large White Rock cockerel, or else (back to my original identification) or a Cornish cross. This is a very unusual bird. Based on the shape of its single comb, it looks like a White Rock to me, but if it is, it is a huge one to weigh 10 lbs. at 4 months.

******! Can't have a roo. Already pushing it with a silkie, cochin and serama roo. I think he will crow like all 3 them together!
