What Is Up With His Comb?

The comb may have had frostbite, no doubt, in Canada, but it looks more like a modified pea comb to me, which can happen when you breed a pea comb to a larger single comb....but hard to know if it has been damaged a that can make it look odd too.

He doesn't really have a tuft, and his coloring is wrong.

Not sure what he might be other than mix. A lot of mixed birds are passed off as Cream Legbar.

Guess I'll have to look into getting an actual cream legbar rooster from someone I know next spring. He's very pretty, was hoping he was and his comb was just damaged to make it look like that.

Maybe mixed breed Maybe frostbite. Either way as long as he's happy and healthy. I hope he becomes less skiddish also. Even if it's not frostbite living in Canada it is something to keep in mind come winter. A little vasoline on the comb helps. I do it for my hens in the winter but my rooster wants no part of it though

Gotta watch and who you by from if you are interested in CLB theres a thread for them on here lots of info.
