On days when the temps are below freezing, you must gather eggs several times a day to prevent eggs from freezing. When eggs freeze the shell may crack, letting bacteria in. Eat such eggs at your own risk, as they may be contaminated. You may want to cook them and feed them to your dog(s) or back to the chickens once they have cooled.
