First off it is feathering in a very strange way, but I assumed it was normal for the breed (or he's being plucked by somebody). But today we noticed his (we think its a boy) right breast is swollen and misshaped, almost like a tumor or a cyst or something. Plus he sneezed a few times while we were observing him (not sure if its related). Please, any ideas on what is up with him and should I remove him from the remainder of the flock.

Ok, after doing a little research I'm thinking it MIGHT be an impacted crop? I gave him some extra grit and tried massaging the mass. Its weird because it wasn't like a hard swollen mass like it looked, but rather it was maleable. I could rub and squeeze it and it kind of held the shape. Does this make sense? Am I on the right track? What else should I be doing?

Crops swell up when they are full. As when the chicken has just had a lot to eat. It isn't impacted if it isn't hard. It will grow and shrink when food is digested. I have had cockerels who didn't feather as quickly or nicely as the pullets, too.
