What is Wrong With My Hen

Something is wrong with my hen, Patti. She is a Buff Comet (Buff Orpington Buff Comet mix ). She seems to have some type of swelling going on. Starting from between her legs to her tail is all swollen. Does anyone know what it is and does anyone know if there is a way to help her.

How old is she? will she just lie there like that, or can she walk okay? Swelling in the lower belly can be from ascites or water belly, or in chickens who are laying internally or suffering from egg yolk peritonitis. Salpingitis or lash eggs can also cause that. Does she lay eggs? Her foot pads look a bit rough like she may have some Bumblefoot or footpad dermatitis.

She hatched in August of 2015. She doesn't seem to walk good and sometimes loses her balance. She seems to lie on her back better than any other chicken. I don't know if she is still laying. She doesn't have Bumblefoot, but what is footpad dermatitis?
