what is your favorite breed of chicken?

I love the look of Cochins too but I’m not sure if they would do well with the Georgia heat

With good shade they might be OK. My two partridge Cochins do fine here in zone 7b ( or 8a if you believe the government geeks these days) in southwest Tennessee.

I keep changing favorites! I have had a dozen "favorites"! Currently I love My Welsummers , perhaps, the best. White Crested Black Polish, Houdans, Ancona, Barred Rock, Black Minorcas, Ameracanas, Araucanas, Whiting True Blues, Partridge Cochins, Austalorps, Buff Orpingtons and several more have been on my favorite list over the years!
