what is your favorite chicken breed?

Silver Laced Wyandotte. Friendly, quiet, inquisitive like a cat, have a classic "Buck-buck" voice. Chicks mature quickly, lay fairly early and dependably for several years. They just don't like to be picked up and cuddled as Buff Orpingtons do.

I love my Black Australorps. Plain Jane, but nice, and quiet. They are my first chickens... how could I not love them!

I'm going to get some Blue Aussies in June. I can't wait!

Nice! I live in the central valley I just got two silkie chicks two weeks at my local feed store. Have you tried calling some local farm feed stores?

back then when i wasn't interested in chickens the Silkies used to be everywhere but now that i'm looking for them they just disappeared

I saw this shirt at Target awhile ago. It was too cold at the time so, I thought I don't need it. Well now, it would be perfect but there's none in my size.
