What is your favorite chicken breed?

My Calico Princess will never be a mother, but she's finished her second spring as a hen (so about 2.5 years now, almost 3) and still going strong besides the meatspots

Same reason I don't like them. It might make sense for a farm to have them if they plan on culling after peak production, but not for someone like me who raises chickens for fun.

I raise chickens for meat, eggs, & breeding purposes. Certain ones I keep back specifically for pets, those don't get butchered.

My favourite are silkies. But I really want a big orphington! I really like a speckled patterns too in breeds.

I would have to say EEs cause out of all my chickens they never bully or pick at my other chickens

I love EEs, and Rhode Island Reds. I wasn’t a fan of RIR, until I had them. They were the sweetest little hens. Sadly , they were eaten (predators ) and my last one had died of egg binding. Thankfully, I got two more.
