Just thought I'd ask before I get some guineas. What is your favorite type of Guinea and why? Do you prefer the French?
What color do you like? Are the darker ones less apt to get their predators attention?

What sells the best if one wants to hatch eggs? Do French adapt to colder climates better than the regular? Are any colors more or less hardy?

Thanks

Vulturines!

Wow, those are really neat. What are they actually ? A Guinea of some sort, cross??

I remember you having Spectrum Farm in Monico, are you still there?

Can you tell me more about the Vulturines? Are they good with ticks, snakes etc???
How much for some eggs? I didn't see them on ebay.

Thanks much

Vuluturine Guineas are pretty expensive. They are not cold hardy like the pearl and other colors. You would have to have a heated coop for winter....like room temperature heated. I think they're creepy looking, but kinda cool in a way.

I have adult pearls and some colored keets. As far as I know the difference in the standards are only color. The french are heavier but only come in pearl. I don't know if they're more cold hardy, my standards did just fine in 2 feet of snow this winter. They chose to not come out some days, but they did fine. lol

Vulturines are a true wild guinea from northeast Africa. They are not winter hardy- and do not like any cold. For most they cost to much to leave run for tick control.

I moved from Monico, a few years ago.

Well, I guess I'll cross those off my list, as you know how cold it is in Monico. My Aunt misses you up here. We would go for a ride to drive by and see your camels !! LOL
Those are some awesome looking creatures !!!
Thanks for sharing.
