What is your ideal coop interior layout? Help me plan the next step.

ok, here ya go. The view from our yard Sunday morning. BTW, we are at about 3500' elevation. That summit is 14179' elevation. That green hillside between our yard and Mt. Shasta is called Spring Hill, and at the foot of it is our city park and the spring which is the headwaters of the Sacramento River. The spring is easily 40' wide producing a fully-flowing stream at point of exit.

Nothing down here - only rain, and not that much.

Forecast is rain all week but time will tell.

Andy's boss (fencing company) does not work if it is raining so I anticipate seeing Andy up here mid-week to wrap things up.

Greg,
Thanks for the picture...it's fabulous!!

Now about those pictures of the coop. Surely you have had 3 seconds to snap a few...

ok, more progress to report, and a tentative name for the coop - Eggstravagance...

This weekend, besides cleaning up the disaster area that resulted from several weeks of construction (family arriving Tuesday for the week), I completed most of the interior framing and assembly of the coop area of the shed.

I formed a wall, installed 2x6 ceiling joists, and placed the sheathing on top to form the coop ceiling and loft floor. Then I installed a sheet of vinyl flooring that I purchased as a remnant from the local flooring store. The vinyl is coved 12" up the walls so that DLM accumulation will be largely contained by the flooring.

Then I started sheathing the interior wall and tacked everything in place. Next step is to pull all the unpainted sheets back out this week, paint them and install permanently. Also plan to start building the tunnel that connects the run to the house.
