We have kept chickens for many years and have lost several to Foxes, Badgers and big Birds but have never had this problem before...we have lost two chickens recently on separate days, in the daytime, gone without a trace except for two pairs of feet left behind! Any ideas on what could be doing this?
We have a new puppy but I can't imagine that it is her...HELP!

Sorry for your loss
How old and how big were the chickens?
were the feet chewed on at all? seems like a pup would have found the feet before you did where were they found?

Thanks for the quick reply!
One was about a year old, the other was a chick maybe six weeks old, the legs didn't look mangled or chewed really....

It sounds like a hawk to me. I can be wrong. I had found just feet and some feathers before, and I knew that the hawk had done it. Hope that you can resolve the mystery and prevent more loss.

BTW :welcome
