What killed my chicken?

I am devastated. I went out this morning and found, Kiwi, one of my Buff Orpington's dead on the floor of the coop. Her feet were sticking up in the air and I couldn't look at her. I really want to know what killed her. One of my friends took some pictures that I will *try* to post later.
What do I do???? She was healthy and happy yesterday....eating, drinking, walking around like the others, etc.

I am so upset.

I didn't look at her for long enough to really see if she had injuries..... so I'll let my friend use my account to post the picture and details.

Not knowing what happened is the worst too.

She was loved and had a good life with you while she was here. Take comfort in knowing that you took such great care of her.

Hi Clucky. This is so sad. Before she passed, how long had it been since she laid an egg? I've lost three beautiful Buff Orpingtons in the past because they had broken eggs inside them. They all seemed fine one day, and gone the next. Again, I'm really so sorry.
