Hello Everyone,

First time poster looking for any thoughts on what animal would kill my rabbit and leave only his intestines?

I think it’s only a fox or cat, but can’t figure out how either got the rest of his body over a 4ft fence, and would either eat the bones and fur? There is nothing left of him in the garden other than what you can see in the picture 😢

Any thoughts are welcome.

Cheers

I am so sorry for your loss.:hugs Must be very traumatic 😞. Unfortunately.. I do not know much about rabbits. Where about do you live (what state and so forth) so we can figure out what predators are lurking about. I am so sorry about this...my heart goes out to you. Wishing you the best. Also....Welcome to BYC!:welcome

thanks Laura 😞

I’m in the UK so we don’t really have many predators around, or so I thought!

I doubt it's a fox. Hunters leave the innards, and I don't know if any other animal does such a thing. What did this is a mystery. A fox will just grab the whole animal. So sorry you lost your bunny. :hugs

:welcome :frow My suggestion would be to put a camera up and see what has been lurking. I'm sure whatever it was will be back and hopefully you can get a picture of it and then make a plan. I love my cameras. Good luck...
