So, my girl was a big girl. She was about 45 pounds. She slept in the 3 sided barn in a fenced area with the goats. The neighbors Great Pyrenees usually keeps predators away from my yard and theirs. This morning I found my girl lying on the ground, dead. Still a bit warm… this was around 6:30. When I rolled her over, her bowels were hanging out. No other wounds. She didn’t look eaten at all. I live in Idaho. We have foxes. The 3 chickens that hang out in the goat pen were fine. What are your thoughts?

Are you sure it wasn't a prolapse?

Probably a possum. I had three grown peafowl killed by a possum before I finally trapped him. The birds cannot see in the dark but possums can. A small possum can kill grown turkeys or peacocks.
