Shamo?

I'm guessing you know the one on the right is a polish, and I'm guessing roo from the carriage of his tail. I had one that fooled me - crest looked like that and everyone said GIRL GIRL but he held his tail up that way and I kept getting suspicious it was a boy. Yep, it was.

Oh and you think the polish is a roo. Cool. Are they good boys? Like are they mean?

Its unlikely to be a Shamo because they are a bit of a rarity in the USA. You would know you had one just because you would have had to hunt down a breeder and pay a pretty penny for him.

If I were to guess, I'd say he's a Modern Game. They stand very tall, like this little guy.

could it be possible that this chick will be a turkey? It's got an awfully long neck to be a chicken...

I have three Polish roos, 6.5 weeks, and so far they are friendly. Stevie, our golden, is the HEAD of every chicken - the other two defer to him, always. He is friendly, but is firm when he greets me, stands over me while I fill the feeders, and escorts me to the door when I leave. He usually stays with me while I sit with the chickens. No one takes any food from him when he is eating. Here he is, lower left, with our silver laced Polish that looks like yours - with his head in the lettuce.

and here is an earlier picture of Amy (named before we knew she was a he!)

Your Stevie looks EXACTLY like my Nora... might have to change the name to Norman

I put my feed and my water on two large bricks so that when they scratch in the dirt/shavings it doesn't all end up in their water/food. They say it's best if you can have them be at chest level....you could also hang them.
