It may be too early to tell, not sure. I am assuming she is an EE, but in looking at EE chicks online I cannot find one that matches her coloring. She is pure, light yellow with bright white wings and grey legs. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

She is within the EE and Americana lines. It's really hard to tell color until they get to their adult plumage because there's always a chance it'll look much different. Right now it looks white but then again it could be something else.

The difference between an EE and an Americana is one is a pure bred and one is not. The EE is normally crossbred and can lay different colors of eggs whether it'd be pink, green, or blue. The Americana on the other hand in order to be one can only lay blue eggs.

Looks like a white Easter Egger. They are not a standard breed and hatcheries have crossed them with other breeds to increase their laying rate, so there is a lot of variation as to what they can look like. Your chick does have the greenish legs and muffs, so I think it's safe to say it is an Easter Egger.

No such breed as Americana. There is a breed called Ameraucana. They are rare. Most hatcheries do not have them. Instead, most hatcheries sell Easter Eggers labeled as "Ameraucana," "Araucana," or "Americauna."

Thanks everyone, happy to hear she is an EE, I LOVE the other two I have. This one is a bit more skittish though, I hope she warms up to us soon. I cannot wait to see what she ends up looking like, google image here I go. :)

Thanks again!

I know. I just didn't quite remember how to spell the actual breed name. I'll probably go back and fix that when I remember how to spell it.
