Well, it looks like a Silkie mix to me. It can't be a Crevecoer, as it has feathered legs, and Polish aren't feather legged either. Definitely looks like a Silkie mix to me, even though it doesn't have five toes. Am I right?

Probably a Silkie mix. A Polish or wouldn't have feathered legs, and a Crevecouer (sorry if that isn't spelled right) wouldn't either. A purebred Silkie would have silkie feathering and five toes, which this bird doesn't have. And a La Fleche would have clean legs and a more well-defined v-comb. So, my guess is Silkie mix (maybe crossed with a Polish).

This is his father.

A white crested polish rooster.
His mother is a black ______ something you guys have to figure the rest of the name out. It is six letters long

Sorry bantamlover21 but there mother was not a Black Silkie of any kind. She was a Black Cochin. She was killed by a raccoon or possum along with 10 out of 13 of her chicks There father died to. one afternoon we went out to check on the chickens and we found him dead.
