what kind of chickens do I have ?

Can someone tell me what type of chickens I have? Also, they were very good egg layers the first year I had them but for almost a year now no one egg! I feed them layer ration and I've been keeping a light on from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. for over 7 months now but still no more eggs. Any ideas

I dont know the breed but the color is golden or golden duckwing. They look like they might have some old english game or leghorn in them.

Don't know about the roo, but the hen in the front of the second picture is a Silver Grey Dorking, and it looks like the other one with white legs is a Dorking as well (can't see much but her tush!)

If they have five toes, then that would be the right.

I have one, but she isn't old enough to lay so I can't help you beyond that.

I never heard of a chicken having 5 toes, I'll have to wait til they go to roost to count their toes (you do mean 5 toes on one foot not all together right). I have hatched 8 of their eggs when they were laying and the chicks look just like Mom and Dad (2 boys, 6 girls) so I thought maybe the Roo and Hens were the same breed since their offspring look just like them. the egg thing has me puzzled, they have not laid any eggs in almost a year now. could that be a trate for whatever breed they are where they only lay when they're broody?

Well I was just noticing that the hen has bluish legs so maybe some phoenix in there. Looking over them again I see the rooster has longer lesser sickle feathers so maybe they are half phoenix.

Are they penned up or free ranging? If they are free ranging look around in the bushes for the eggs because they might be hiding them.

as for the eggs, the chickens are penned up but only because our dogs play too rough with them....

Dorkings, like silkies, have five toes on each foot.

Now that I see another picture, I don't think I'm right about it being a Dorking!

The legs looked white in the first picture, but in the new picture, they look blue and the coloring isn't as much like mine as in the first. Dorkings also have kind of stumpy legs, and in this second picture they doesn't look as short as on mine. Dorkings waddle when they walk, because the legs are so short compared to the rest of their bodies.

More than likely I'm wrong. Sorry!
