What kind of Chickens do I have?

A friend received 11 of these baby chicks (assuming males) when he ordered some ducks to raise and we have no idea what breed they are. Any ideas? I just received my RIR's chicks yesterday myself so this happened to be perfect timing!

They look like either black giant or barred rock to me! I am no expert, though!

the hens are very good layers of brown eggs.

Thank you all. Do you know if I can keep a Barred Rocks rooster with my RIR's when he gets older? We weren't planning on having a rooster but I couldn't let something bad happen to these chicks!

If you got them from Ideal, they are Barred Rock Males... sorry. I just got 6 as a surprise in my turkey order...
