My mom has had this duck for a few months and we are not sure what breed it is or its gender

I'd guess one of the mallard look alike breeds? There's a few that look very similar. Girl, female I'd say, male would be a little prettier , I think, male drakes usually have a colorful head also?

Looks like it has some Welsh and maybe khaki

Kinda does... pretty duck...

Was it a duckling when she got it? Any duckling pics of it?

ETA: if it full out quacks, it's a girl... quiter, raspy, whaaap-whaaap-whaaap type quack, it's a boy...

It does not quack at all, it actually makes a hissing sound. It was a bigger duckling, has huge pretty eyes and was yellow with black beak

Looks like a female mallard to me. I agree with @Ravynscroft, if it's a long, raspy quack like whaaaaaap-whaaaaaaap and curled tail feathers, probs a male.

It doesnt have any curled tail feathers, they actually look straight out. and they are suuper long

We were told it was part welsh! was just wondering if some how she got it wrong, she also told me that my female was male and my male was a female! so was double checking and seeing what else it could have in it :)

Really??? You might have a mulard on your hands... cross between a mallard derived duck and a Muscovy... in which case, it is like a mule, sterile...

@Miss Lydia @casportpony what do you think?

I agree with ravynscoft. If there is hissing instead of honking/croaking, there has to be moscovy in there. The coloring looks like a mallard or rouen.
