What kind of ducks are these?

Store said they are Pekins but they don’t look like my other Pekin did as a duckling. Their heads are a little dark and their beaks are almost like a pink color?

They do look like buffs, but my buffs had an almost purple bill when they were that size. My fawn and white runners looked just like that, but it would be pretty obvious if your little ones are runner. Are they Pekin mixes maybe?

I’m not sure? The store just said Pekin. I’m hoping they are buffs. I’m curious to see what they turn into. One is a lot bigger and a lot more yellow than the other...maybe just a little older?

He/she could possibly be the same age. We hatched 3 welshies last summer and one was about 2/3 the size of the other 2. Hes still a little smaller than his brothers, but it's not obvious at first glance.
Maybe the mom was a pekin and a different breed drake fathered them but the owners were unaware?? Either way, you'll have to update us when they're older

I will! I’m curious to see. I wish they were welshes. I had a Pekin and a welsh...Sadly the neighbors pitbull got loose and killed them and all of my chickens so I’m having to start over.

The smallest one cries when I’m not around and tries to jump out of the box to get to me. It just wants me to hold it! It’s so funny.

If the breeder thought they were Pekins maybe they were a Pekin hen mixed with a Buff Drake, they sure are adorable!! Keep posting pics of them as they mature!

Oh no that's awful! I'm so sorry about you losing your flock I hope the neighbors took steps to make sure their dog doesn't get loose again. The babies sure are cute. I always wish that phase would last a little longer
