What kind of Insect is that?

Not sure if this is the correct thread, but this sure is a pest!
What kind of horrible insect is this?

Yes that is a quarter in the pictures! That [bleep] [beep] [BEEP] [BEEEEEP!] thing made me throw my hammer away when it suddenly bit me in my neck. I have a deep stinger wound in my neck muscles and it still hurts. Then i found another three of these in the house! Fly swatter and three really happy ducks…
Do these - whatever it is - attack Ducks? - I guess two of them could suck one of my Runners dry.

They are horrible. I didn't know only the females bite. That is one insect that I will aggressively go after. Even if they are not biting me, they might bite the nearest horse or cow, and I don't want that, either.

yes they hurt. Not sure if they will bite poultry but any skin they can get to I guess would be an acceptable target in their little brains

That sting was so unbelievable painful, i let go of the hammer while hammering down and swat the culprit dead. Still have chills…

They are miserable! Big, and big bites, actually cause wounds, and it hurts.
