What kind of rooster?

I’ve just rescued a rooster two months ago and haven’t been able to figure out the breed. Can someone help me out? Thanks!

Also, the collar around his neck is to prevent him from crowing too loud. It will not choke him.

I would say he's a gold laced Cochin.
Most of my roosters have crow collars too. Makes for more pleasant neighbors and it doesn't silence the boastfulness of the boys.

My silver laced bantam Cochin roo. One of two without the collar because he rarely crows and when he does, it's deep and not piercing.

Thanks, yours had much better lacing. Is he young and still getting his feathers on our is he growing them in from a moult? Would love to see update pictures when his tail comes in the rest of the way! Going to be a handsome boy!
