I think it's usually just older hens that might grow a beard.

This is Sharon and yes turkey hens have beards too. They do not grow as fast as the Tom's.

The deed is done dressed at 23lbs. Not too much different than a chicken. Just a TON heavier!! Went very well!!!!!!! Can't wait for turkey day!!!!

No dont wait, unless you really want a larger bird, but I would definately have him for Christmas. BBW will get huge my biggest was 36 lbs and dressed out just over 24 lbs.
I should note, I would have had a slightly smaller bird, but I had a last minute cancellation(and you know who you are)
