what kinda feed?? mash,crumble or pellet

for my laying hens ( have about 40) what is the best feed.
I want to fill them up and keep them satisfied so what would be better lay mash, crumble or pellets??

I prefer pellets, b/c it's easy enough to make them into a mash (just add hot water and wait 10 min). When fed dry there is less waste w/ pellets.

I agree. I prefer pellets because there seems to be less waste.

If all you have is mature layers I recommend layer pellets. Less waste with pellets, in my experience. I also keep a separate dish of oyster shell available, for extra calcium.

Pellets for me too. It seems hens prefer crumble, but if they've never had it they will happily eat pellets. I know with crumble, at least one of my girls would fling it everywhere trying to pick out her favourite bits!
