I have silkie bantam hens and was just brought a looks to be regular size silkie rooster. What will the chicks come out like with different sized parents.

I dunno now looking at him he's not that big really I guess I'm just use to seeing these little silkie hens next to my regular size hens. He's not really as big as a standard size amauracauna hen. I think he'll be fine with these hens.

Hi! Just FYI we don't have standard sized Silkies in the US. He might be bigger if he's a mix, or he might just be bigger because he's male. Either way, he should be fine. The only time I really worry is if the size difference is very pronounced (like a 10 lb rooster with a 2 lb hen).

I did some digging after I made this post ( I kinda freaked out when I first saw him) but he's definitely nothing compared to my jersey giant rooster that lives at my farm. I put one of my hens in the pen just to do a size comparison I think he's ok. What do you think. He's the white one.

He's adorable! He is pretty bog for a Silkie, but still small for a chicken. He will be fine!

I went to our county fair this year, and the Silkies were ginormous compared to my tiny girls. I think there is a lot of variability among lines - especially oet quality birds.
