What makes a good Show Chicken

We have Ameracaunas that we were going to enter in a small county fair, just so my daughter could have the experience of showing chickens. We have never done this before. How do you think my rooster will do in a small town fair?

I think he would do well make sure he is clean (and the better tempered the better) and because this is your first time doing a show you can learn from this experience and keep improving.
