I have a year old bantam Dutch with a 3/16" overbite. The beak is perfectly aligned, but the upper half sticks out beyond the lower, and curves down a bit. She was a caged bird before we bought her, and now she's wiping her beak on hard surfaces when we let her out for her daily foraging.

She eats fine from the feeder, with 1 - 1.5" of crumble in it. On the run, she get a good amount of her target food, but her companion does a better job.

What methods are available to trim the upper beak?

Thanks....

I put mine where they could wipe their beak on some cement pavers and they wore them down by themselves.
