This first one was my daughters little Banty chick that we lost, but I would still like to know what it was

Next is our other Banty ( this one does not have a spot on its head)

3rd is a pullet from TSC I was told it was assorted and would lay brown eggs but I am not so sure

4th is my little grey baby ( I got him from a breeder and just don't remember what the guy said it was). He has grey down the fronts of his legs

Kind of hard to tell from the photos. Your best bet would be to go to the McMurray Hatchery site (mcmurrayhatchery.com) and, under Baby Chicks, click through the breeds until you see chick photos that come close to matching what you have. McMurray has chick photos for almost every breed they sell, and it's a very helpful resource when it comes to identifying mystery chicks. Good luck!

i know he didn't say silkie, I have search the internet and seen some close but it is so hard to tell.

They where not very photo cooperative..lol

I'm a total newbie so feel free to ignore, I'm just curious if my guesses line up w/anyone else's guesses.

1. dark brahma
2.dark brahma
3. tetra tint
4. ?
5. hmm...looks like black legs but kind of hard to tell, maybe a silkie cross?

The grey/black ones all look my Blue Copper Marans and Black Copper Marans. The 4th one with the feathering on his legs even look like my little Marans.

I'm new and far from anything close to being able to identify any chicken breed - as a chick or as an adult! I'm amazed at how a chick doesn't look anything like it's adult version!!! It's fun to watch them change, though.
