What mix is this?

Hen was an EE(we think) and the rooster was either a Blue Andalusian or a Black Australorp.
Which do you think it was?
Everything about this chick is solid black

WOW it truly is solid black. I don't know what to tell you though, as most black chickens are white and black as chicks. . . Would love to see it feather out!

After I saw the pic, I took a look at the other chicks from this hatch and the records I have of the eggs that were set. I'm about 90% sure that your chick came from a Black Australorp hen. I had just separated the Black Australorps from the other chickens when those eggs were collected. So.....my guess is that your chick is Black Australorp/EE. I can't wait to see how he/she feathers out! By the way, I'm not sure that I told you, but your chicks were hatched on 3/10 (just in case you are crazy like me and want to celebrate their birthday)

Black Australorp/EE makes sense

I couldnt remember what breeds you said and then when I asked, I got all confused,about which oens were the roosters and which ones were the hens.
