What NOT to feed your chickens...

I have been reading about what not to feed your chickens. Please add to my list if you know about any other foods that could hurt them.

Beans
Uncooked/dry rice
Avacado
Apple seeds

Actually they would have to eat a lot of Appleseeds to get sick..My Chickens get a Whole apple once in awhile..
Green Potatoes are also not good..

Onions aren’t good for them either. Citrus in large quantities isn’t good either. Also don’t feed them moldy or spoiled foods.

The reason they say not to feed them apple seeds is because they contain a small amount of cyanide. In small amounts the chickens will be fine.

I worried about that for much of my life and never ate the seeds, but that cyanide may actually be helpful. They're delicious, so I eat them now.

My chickens eat pretty much every thing and are still living to talk about it. No issues with anything I've ever given them. They eat our scraps and love it. The moldy foods are obviously thrown in the garbage though. Wouldn't give that to my fluff butts. One of my chickens also enjoys our Styrofoam cups. I don't give it to her, she some how finds them in the garbage and has quite a feast. Sneaky thing.
