What plants won't they eat?

MY run is a muddy mess. We get a lot of rain. My run is about 10' long 5' wide with a 5x8 shed. I want to plant something to help with the mud problem What is safe that they won't eat as I plant?

I'm afraid most likely anything you plant will turn back to mud in just days. The chickens will turn a grassy area to mud in no time even if it's a quarter acre run. I have had some luck using sand in the runs. There have been some good post on this subject on here lately.
