what % protein is straight corn?

Just checked the label on the bag I got last Monday. Protien 12%

9% protein, years ago it was around 8% but they have improved corn alot.

I was thinking 8%. If you're using cracked corn as a chicken ration, you'll need to up the protein using seed meal.
