I've got 8 + 1 BOs just over 2 month old.

When I get home from work, I check their feed, water and sometimes have a treat for them. They are always waiting for me in their secured run.

Not last night. No chicks in the run!?

AH! I bet the computer controlled chicken door didn't open and they have been trapped in the coop all day! I peek in the Chunnel window and the chicken door is open.

Chickens must have heard me because they all tried to exit their coop all at the same time. Threw out some dried meal worms from treats and they ignored them! Usually they fight over them, something isn't right.

Hmmmm. Temperature is only in the high 80s (F). A few weeks ago in was in the 100's and they spent the day in the run.

Walk back towards the house, turn around and all the chickens are back in to coop. I walk back to the coop and check the perimeter looking any predator attempts to get into the run or coop, nothing. Chickens all come back out of the coop and watch me. Look in the coop and they only thing I find wrong was the coop cam microphone was laying on the floor.

They wasn't scared when trapped coons spent they day just outside of their run.

As I walk back to the house they all head back into the coop. This isn't normal.

Wonder what has got them spooked or are they just playing mind games?

Bird of prey? I have a heck of a time seeing them in the trees. If I am lucky I can zero in on them by watching where the chickens look, but even then I often never see the bird till it flies off.
