What sex and breed are these chicks and ducks?

I love the golden colored ones...I was so hoping they were sex links! I'm still confused by the little yellow chicks. They have pinkish legs, looks like single combs and they're uniformly yellow (although mine does appear to have a smudge of color on it's head or it may just be the fluff laying in an odd direction).

Yeah, I was thinking Australorp as soon as I saw that.

Definitely not a Barred Rock.

Is the little yellow chick a bantam or does it just LOOK tiny? Can you tell what kind of comb it has? I can't in the pic.

It just looks tiny! It has a single comb. Any idea what it might be?!

UGH...if I would just learn to read.

You already said what kind of comb she has.

Anyway, my top guess is White Rock, close second White Leghorn but I am thinking Rock. I could be wrong, but personally, with either of those breeds, I think you got an awesome little birdy!!!

Feed store employee confirmed today that those are White Rocks.

He also said that the black and white ones and the black with red faces are sex links and one is a pullet and one is a roo. That makes me pretty certain that the red faces are pullets, because with the black sex link-red rock cross Mt. Healthy sells, the roos resemble barred rocks and the pullets have a reddish cast. So I guess I got two roos and two pullets...

I have no idea about the chicks...except the approximate colorings lol. The black with red/brown head usually means a gold laced OR partridge.

The ducks however...you have pekins for the yellow, and depending on the size of the striped ones either mallard OR rouen. If the striped ones are pretty close to the pekin size, they are rouen. If they are VERY tiny, they are mallard.

If you look at the pekins' beaks, males and females have differing beak colors. Males are ALL vibrant orange, females have a puprpley cast to them. Or maybe I have that backwards...!! I am pretty sure the females are the purpley ones though.

I got one of each beak color from my feed n seed, and ended up having a mated pair (gorgeous birds, and delicious, too!)

Good luck and have fun!

Oh! Well if the beaks are correct then I have four males and Tubby has one female. I got the last Pekins they had today and they were all orange beaked. Will it be ok to keep two or four males together without a female?

I'm pretty sure the other ducks are Mallards, because they are tiny in comparison.

To me
#1 looks like Red sexlink/golden commet etc. PULLET Males are usually more white.
#2 the black with a little white I am almost positive is a black Australorp (sp?) It does NOT look like any BR we have had or hatched out.

I am now confused about which chick was which number. The almost black chick with the red tint to the head looks like our Black sex link/Black Star pullets. The roos have a little spot on there heads. RIR-rooster over BR-Hens

the last chick is some kind of white breed I agree with others, white rock, white leghorn, maybe white orpington?

Ducks -I have no idea on them.
