Yeah, toms can shrink their snoods, but there's a difference between the base of a tom's snood and a hen's snood!

Like I said, not saying this is accurate or like a guide or anything! Just things I observed from my own birds growing up.

Outs of my 4, 3 will strut but their all bald and bigger than the 4th. They'll gobble but I never actually see which one does it. I gotta say I really like my turkeys more than my chickens.

Most toms will gobble at the same time together. All turkeys start out with the downy feathers on head, but toms will loose there's and hens will develop a mohawk looking strike up the back of there necks and top of head,
