I am sorry that you all couldnt see the pictures there for a while. But I got the problem fixed. Anyway she is definatly a hen. And is a very good layer of BIG brown eggs. I have no idea what breed she is. I am sure she is a cross because my nieghbor and I usually incubat most of our eggs instead of ordering. And most of the eggs we incubat are crosses of several different breeds, And we have no idea as to how many different breeds have been crossed to get the hen. My nieghbor gave her to us because she always went bonkers we anyone would would come near the coop. Since she has been her my kids have packed her around and have tamed her down quickly. My husband and duaghter swears that they heard her crowing. I havent heard her do it myself so i am not sure on that or not. Anyway here is a few more pictures of her out in the run that way you all can see the rest of her body, which to me looks more like what a hen should look like. I am also not sure if these pictures are clear or not she wouldnt hold still for vary long.

the last picture is her with a bunch of our other chickens she is on the left side of them trying to get away from me and the camera.

Yep, if we'd have been able to see a full body shot we would have told you a hen.

Just the head shot and she does look like a rooster. She probably is a mix because full Ancona's lay white eggs.

That's why I don't judge a chicken just from the comb size. I have a buff orp. that has a huge comb also. You would swear she was a roo.

tail feathers say she might have alittle leghorn in her.some of my leghorn hens have the big comb that stands up straight... most will lay to one side. but the leghorns i have lay white eggs.
