If I take chicks from the hen will she start laying again?
If I take the hen with the chicks out of the coop will the rest of the hens start laying again? I want eggs, but they all quit laying since one hen hatched babies. What should I do?

i would seperate the hen and her chicks from the rest ... the others should get back to laying and you won't have to spend all that time babysitting, changing the bedding in the brooder etc.

or you could leave everything as it is -- maybe the other hens will start laying again once they get used to the chicks being around

or if you really enjoy having them in a brooder and doing all the babysitting, changing out the bedding etc, you can seperate the chicks from the mother hen

you can pretty much do any of the 3 - its all according to what your preferences are

i would assume that moving the chicks to a seperate location would be the fastest way to get the others to start laying again .... but ti is up to you on whether you want the mother hen to start laying again ASAP or you can stand to wait a while and take her "out of production" long enough to raise her chicks

One hen that is the mom with the chicks. I have 4 other hens that aren't laying because they think they are the mom to the chicks. Three other hens that are still sitting on eggs. I get a big fat zero eggs a day.
