What should I do?!

I am going to a hotel about 2.5 hrs away from my home so I will be away from my home for about 18 hrs.

I have my chickens in a small temp coop while I build their big coop, it looks like this:

Its very small, about 6-7 square feet.

I dont know if I should lock them in while im gone or keep them out? There are pretty large rats and a stray cat.

Please help

I would lock them in with lots of food/veggies and lots of water.

Yes, I too would lock them in that coop w/ food and water. Better to be oversafe than sorry. Have a great time.

I would fortify with some hardware cloth, they are easy pickin's where the chicken wire is.
