what should i do???

so our broody hen started setting on eggs about a week ago but it seems like every other day she's letting the other hens go and lay more eggs. She started with 5 and now has 7 or 8 she's setting. The only problem is once the original eggs she sat on first hatch I'm afraid she will stop sitting on the others even though they would be a few days from hatching. What should I do??

This exact same thing happened to me once, my hen was sitting on seven eggs of her own but one of the others kept going in every day sitting kinda on top of or next to her and laying eggs then leaving she ended up with 17 under her, she successfully hatched 11 then left the nest i candled the rest took out two that didnt develop and put the others in my incubator and hatched them myself.

You could:
- mark all her eggs with a pencil and take out any new unmarked ones every day, my broody is fine with me putting my hand under her and never leaves a nest or stresses out because of it.
- enclose were ever she is nesting so that the other hen cant get to her.
- wait and see what she can hatch then candle the others if she leaves them and put them into the incubator if you have one.
