So I have always had white rocks. They have been breeding well and I love them. Last year I bought some brown leghorns (female only). They were a flighty breed for me and I decided I wouldn't go there again but let them free range with my flock. Don't know why I did it but I have six white rock leghornhorn babies ready to hatch in 2 days. They all look great. Does anyone have experience with this cross.

They would be Sexlinked.

Gold/Silver Split Males, (Yellowish White chicks)

Gold Females(Redish Orange)

That's backwards. Gold/Silver sexlinks require a gold father and a silver mother, but a Brown Leghorn mother is definitely gold.

I do not know exactly what genes for "white" are present in the White Rocks, but there is no way a Brown Leghorn mother is going to produce gold/silver sexlink chicks with any possible rooster.

When the father has the Silver gene, both male and female chicks will show it (males also carrying gold from their mother, females with no gold gene at all.)

I do not have experience with this cross, but I would love to see pictures of the chicks when they hatch!

I'm making bets with myself about whether the chicks are more likely to be black, white, black with white barring, or some other color (I can think of genetic reasons for any of those colors, and I don't know which is actually most likely.)

Daughters will probably lay eggs that are light brown or cream colored
Any trait that both parents have, the chicks will probably have as well:
single comb, yellow feet, no feathers on the feet, no crest of feathers on the head, etc.

I must've misread somewhere. Could've been the title question.

The first 2 hatched they are definitely interesting.

Update... they seem to be barred. They are huge twice as big as the white rock chicks that hatched out with them.
