Sorry, I assumed it had one. What vent
I would just lift the lid up to bring the humidity down, it drops quite rapidly so a few seconds should be enough, then judge it from there, just remember, the more water you put in, the higher the humidity. I only put a tiny amount in when it dropsIt's up to 60-63% now
That’s the maxi, same incubator, just bigger, I have both, same temps and humidity levels for bothSorry, I assumed it had one.![]()
45 - 50 is what I aim forI'm incubating some bantam eggs and it's the first day. I set them a few hours ago.
My hygrometer is reading 56%
I am using a Brinsea Advance mini II
I did some research but I can't get a straight answer!
"Guidelines suggest an average humidity level of 50-55%. A figure of 70-75% relative humidity is a good target to have in mind in lockdown"
" first 18 days should be able 60 percent. During the last 3 days. the relative humidity should be nearer 65-70 percent."
"Most people (unless they practice dry incubation) shoot for 40-50% for the first 18 days of incubation and then raise it to 65-75% for the final three days"
Is 56% okay? what should I aim for?
Your is the maxi which has a vent, the mini doesn’tIf it’s a Brinsea, it should have a vent. I just keep mine open the whole time, mine is the Maxi II Advance.View attachment 2852389
