What size “pond?”

I’m currently debating a rubbermaid stock tank for my new ducks… but which size?

The 100gal is 53”x31”x25”…
The 50 gal is 52”x31”x12”….

Is that extra foot of height worth it? There’s only a $10 difference in price, and they both come with drains.

I’m on a well, and I worry about filling up 100 gallons regularly. I have a pekin and muscovies.

With most animals, the more space the better.

12” is perfect in height. The 25” will just muck up slower.

I think I’d go with the 50 gal, or another one that’s wider / longer.
If water usage is a concern, you could limit their swim time, or try to find a good water filter.
