what size coop?

Hi,
I have a 1 metre by 1 metre coop with 2 nest boxes on the end there is only 2 birds in there at moment but soon i will have 11 pekin bantum hens and 1 cockerel wat size will i need and how many nest boxes and perches .

So what you have is app. 3 foot by 3 foot coop. You will need to add to that if you get any more chickens. I like to give each chicken at least 2 feet of prech space. They can handle less but more is better. You will have 14 birds, that is 28 square feet or nine times the size you have now.

when i say coop i mean sleeping quarters at night they have a huge run in the day im just not sure how big there sleeping quarters should be altogether ther will be 12 chickens

Each chicken needs about 2 foot per bird. This is for standard size chickens, bamtans a little less.

Just the coop area ours have 3 sq foot per bird. And the run is 10 sq foot per bird.
