hi
This month, will be a year that I’ve had chickens. I have 4...2 EE, 1 RIR, and one crazy orange -giant breed , lol . Every day for months, I get 3 eggs. Blue, green and tan.
The RIR laid eggs last year for a little while and stopped around November. No eggs since then. So I know she is the only one not laying eggs.
Yesterday, late afternoon, I found this weird egg type thingy in the coop, (photo 1)on the floor.
It looked disgusting. I brought it in and rinsed it off, then broke it open ( photo 2)
Is this a fairy egg? Or a Lash egg? ...should I be concerned?
I keep my coop and run very clean and dry. They get exercise in the yard when I can watch them, for an hour every day....then they are in a protected run.
Clean water, fresh veggies, fresh food. They seem very happy and healthy.
Thanks in advance

Thank you.
I didn’t see anything weird there today. Is this why she hasn’t laid eggs since November. Anything special I should give her? I have a bowl of oyster shells, always available.

Green mountain organic layer feed, is what I normally give them. They didn’t have it so I bought blue seal layer feed this month. Some meal worms as treats...a handful of mixed greens here and there...nothing strange. Today they shared a slice of watermelon.
This week we had rain so I hung a cabbage to keep them busy.
The only different thing is 2 (14 week old) silkie chicks in a cage in the run. I was trying to introduce them, but things aren’t going well.
Going on 3 weeks and they want to eat the silkies so I am going to Rehome them. They did get in and ate about 1/4 of medicated ch ok feed when I left the door unlocked. Other then that...Not much else.

Further dissection would have been helpful.
I see some excess membrane.
Some slicing in half of the parts might tell if it's a lash or not.
Could be the RIR that hasn't laid has some serious reproductive issues...if this mess came out of her.

The picture, that looks deflated, is of it opened up. It looked like the membrane you see around the inside of an egg...after it’s boiled. The paper thin white film.
It was just a jellyish fluid elsewize.

Today, I found another expelled mass. It seems more solid, but after I rinsed it in the sink, it was a jelly like fluid, once again, contained in a paper thin whiteish film.
She is eating, drinking, preening....just walking slower. When I picked her up, a little squeak noise came out of her.
No nasal discharge ...nice clear eyes, and she is very alert.
