Yup looks alot like it. Weird.
When I found it, it was in its death throws, it has since passed on.

Oddly enough, when I was out with the hens about an hour ago, I saw a dragon fly unlike any I'd seen before. It had a bright white body, and the wings had black squares at the end, and were very visible when it would land on a rock. Seemed to fly a little different than others I've seen.

I was talking to a the neighbor on the phone when I saw it, and she said she'd seen a really wierd one yesterday. I said it must be the government.

Looks like a potato beetle/bug....?? Our June beetles don't look like that. I feed them by the handful to my chickens, and they are all shiny rusty green colored...best way to describe them...

That was my first guess...we don't get really cool coloured beasties out this way. LOL
The strangest I don't know what it was I've ever seen was a powder blue furry fly looking creature. It was all powder blue including it's wings, it's body was furry like Silkie feathers, and the front was flesh coloured and it looked like it had a person's face on it's head...now I wasn't smoking, drinking or inhaling anything! It sat right on my hand and looked at me. I just said Hi Faery fly and it acknowledged that I talked to it by cocking it's head and it flew off...never seen another one...

If it is a tater bug then you must be useing some good chicken fert in your garden!!! That thing looks like it's on steriods. Most tater bugs are about the size of your fingernail on your pinky.

yes that is a potato beetle. They will wipe out a crop of taters quick. Ain't hardly anything that will kill the darn things either.
